Out of 65 plus films released in 2014 in first half of Kannada filmdom in which six have got noticed for box office (Gajakesari, Ugram, Chandralekha, Maanikya, Oggarane, Drishya) at least six local beauties have given striking performance. Take a look at the names first:

 

Erica Fernandez  from ‘Ninnindale’ – she has roots in Karnataka, producer is also first timer Vijay Kiragandur. Erica performance and looks were talked about. She starred opposite Puneeth Rajakumar power star of Kannada cinema. She signed another film with challenging star Darshan in ‘Airavatha’.

Aditi Rao given tolerable debut in ‘Huchchudugru’ – the film did not make big noise.

Nikki – she made debut from ‘Ajith’ with Chiranjeevi Sarja and acted in another Kannada film ‘Jamboo Savari’ with Prajwal Devaraj – both failed to click in the box office.

Poornima of ‘Agraja’ with looks similar to Priyamani acted in a homely role in her debut. She is already signing quite a few films.

Sangeetha Bhat from ‘Priti Giti Ityadi’ fared well in her performance but film did not fare well in the box office – a debut for director Pawan Wadeyar as hero.

Ranya of Mysore given a striking performance in ‘Maanikya’ with Kichcha Sudeep as heroine. The graphic song in the film is a mesmerized.
